Michael Carrino Featured in Literature on Lockdown

michaelcarrinoMichael Carrino has been featured on Literature on Lockdown, a series by the Missouri Review. Michael has a M.F.A. in Writing from Vermont College of Norwich University in 1984, and has been an adjunct instructor as well as a lecturer of composition and poetry at SUNY Plattsburgh since 1987.

The series shares narratives from those who teach in prison, those who write from prison, or those who previously did either, and shares an excerpt from Carrino’s In the Prison Near the Highway.

Michael Carrino is also the co-founder and poetry editor of the Saranac Review.  His publications include Some Rescues, (New Poets Series, Inc.) Under This Combustible Sky, (Mellen Poetry Press), Café Sonata, (Brown Pepper Press), Autumn’s Return to the Maple Pavilion (Conestoga Press), and By Available Light: New and Selected Poems (Guernica Editions).
