Melanie Janisse to be in Detours: An Anthology of Poets from Windsor and Essex County

Guernica is proud to have one our authors, Melanie Janisse, be included in Palimpsest Press‘s Detours: An Anthology of Poets from Windsor and Essex County. The launch will include readings from a number of poets in the anthology. Some poets featured include Windsor’s Poet Laureate Marty Gervais, Bronwen Wallace, John Ditsky, Eugene McNamara, and Joyce Carol Oates among many others.

The launch is Wednesday, April 17th, at 7pm at Biblioasis, 1520 Wyandotte St. East in Windsor, ON. Don’t miss this impressive line-up, and be sure to wave hello to Melanie!

Melanie Janisse is a native of Windsor, Ontario. She holds degrees Communications from Concordia University and Visual Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. Now a resident of Toronto, Melanie keeps active as a visual artist, poet, designer and shop owner. Orioles in the Oranges (Guernica 2009) was her first collection of poetry.
