Maria Mazziotti Gillan’s Book, Writing Poetry to Save Your Life: How to Find the Courage to Tell Your Stories Chosen as April Exemplar in The Washington Independent Review of Books

Maria Mazziotti Gillan‘s newest book, Writing Poetry to Save Your Life: How to Find the Courage to Tell Your Stories, is set to be released in under Guernica’s new MiroLand Imprint later in 2013. The book has already been chosen to be featured as one of the April’s Exemplars for National Poetry Month by The Washington Independent Review of Books.

This is very exciting news for Maria and MiroLand, and we cannot wait to read the exemplar!

Maria Mazziotti Gillan is Director of the Poetry Center at Passaic Country Community College, and Editor of the Paterson Literary Review. Writing Poetry to Save Your Life combines Gillan’s personal story about her journey as a writer with her suggestions for writers at all stages of development.
