Denise Desautels Honoured For Body of Work

As part of the Grands Prix Littéraires de Strasbourg, Quebec writer and Guernica poet Denise Desautels has been honoured with the prestigious Prix de Littérature Francophone Jean Arp 2010. The Montreal-born author was awarded the prize for the body of her work, starting with her first book published by Éditions du Noroît en 1975 through The Night Will Be Insistent: Selected Poems 1987-2002, the anthology of her poems translated into English by Daniel Sloate and published by Guernica Editions. The awards ceremony took place November 6, 2010, in the city of Strasbourg in France.
