Erika Rummel Wins Random House Creative Writing Award

Congratulations to Guernica author Erika Rummel who has won a Random House Creative Writing Award. The awards are given out annually to students in the creative writing program at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies with the valued support of Random House of Canada Limited. Erika won for her piece entitled The Effects of Isolation on the Brain, which was written under the supervision of instructor Norman Snider. The winning chapbook stories will be available for viewing in the Fall. Check out the audio version of Erika’s piece here.

Erika Rummel‘s Playing Naomi was published by Guernica Editions in 2009.
